Mom Jeans Outfit + $500 Nordstrom Gift Card Giveaway

Alright, I admit it…. I love mom jeans.  And about 16 months ago I wrote a whole post about how awful and terrible and how you would never catch me in mom jeans.  Well, I am eating my words.  And I am loving LOVING these Madewell HIGH RISE ANKLE JEANS.  They are becoming an internet and blogger sensation and I couldn’t resist the urge to jump on the bandwagon.

MOM JEANS.  It’s not just because I am a mom that I love these.  It’s not just because every single one of my favorite bloggers have raved about these mom jeans.  I LOVE these jeans so much because of the color, the fit and the versatility.  Literally they are the perfect pair of jeans…. for now and for the coming seasons.

Let’s talk the deets of these JEANS . So technically they are called “high rise” ankle but these really fit more like a mom jean.  They are really high waisted- higher than any of my other pairs- and are not a skinny fit.   Most of the reviews I read said to order a size down (especially if you are in between sizes) but I went with my regular size.  I did not size down as I wanted a looser fit to be able to tuck and not have them snug on my hips. If they get too big I’ll throw them in the dryer!  They are a stiffer denim so I have not experienced any undue stretch.  The color is perfect as we start to transition into spring weather and spring color.  Seriously, snag these up they are selling out really quickly given they are under $100. 

Oh, the stripes.  I mean duh!  Is there anything better than stripes and stripes that are under $50??  This light weight TURTLENECK also comes in a pink/maroon stripe.  Like the HIGH RISE DENIM this top fits much looser and I am loving it.  Think how cute it would be with a pair of white distressed denim and booties???  This TURTLENECK is sold at Nordstrom so naturally it is flying off the shelves.
