This Christmas season I am really feeling all the feels… not to be cliche or anything. But, truly, this year seems to feel different. It seems brighter, it seems happier; it seems more merry. Christmas, for many I am sure, is a season filled with love, laughter, friends, family and holiday cheer. However, it is not lost on me that this time year can also bring about feelings of loss, loneliness and sadness and for those that experience those feelings know you are loved.
It’s the weekend!! And part two of this VELVET BLAZER! In case you missed Part One you can check it out HERE.
I wore this VELVET BLAZER to Brendan’s Christmas party this weekend and it was perfect. And I wore it last week to a lunchtime meeting. If I haven’t convinced you yet that this VELVET piece is perfectly versatile I am not sure I can. Ha. But keeping reading anyway.
This post is to showcase how VELVET can be worn in a more fancy way but still keeping your look young, trendy and classy. There is something very “fancy” in black and white and especially with VELVET. But I wanted to ensure this look could be versatile enough to wear to a festive holiday dinner with friends, maybe Christmas Eve dinner or even New Years Eve.
Happy Wednesday Lovelies! It’s been a bit of a crazy week already but isn’t that how the week after a holiday goes?!? Today’s post is a two part post with this extraordinary VELVET BLAZER. Post number two coming later this week.
The concept of these two posts is to showcase how one staple investment piece (velvet blazer) can transition for casual to formal, be worn with what you already own and is worth the price tag. Not going to lie THISvelvet blazer is an investment piece but I promise it is well worth the cost (and I have linked several other options in varying price points). For many years I have admired those who felt confident enough to wear a velvet blazer, especially in a casual manner, and so this year I decided it was time for me to give it a try. I have had my eye on this J.CREW BLAZER for a while and knew it was a quality piece to add to my wardrobe. And I highly recommend you add it to yours ASAP.
Pine trees, holy berries and egg nog. Reindeer, sleigh bells and bowls full of jelly. Family, laughter and love. It’s Christmas time and time for Holiday Outfit: Family Edition.
Picking out Christmas outfits has always been one of my favorite things to do. I love getting dressed up, I love the glitz and the glam and even more I love when the whole family is dressed to the nines! It was obvious to me that Brendan and Declan needed to be coordinated and I would compliment; if this isn’t the truest parallel to my life!
Below I highlighted a few easy tips to keep in mind while choosing family holiday outfits. These quick simple tips are sure to help you create cohesive and stylish looks for the whole family.
Can you believe Christmas morning is just a few short weeks away.??? This year I am so excited to spend Christmas up in the mountains with my parents. It will be just magical! Here’s hoping for a white Christmas morning. How are you spending your Christmas morning???
christmas Morning Goodies
This year I wanted to give you some inspiration for making December 25 even more festive and enjoyable. Everything is under $100 and some of personal favorites are even under $50 like this MUG, these BOOKS and this face MASK . I made sure to include items for you (the lady of the house), the kiddos, your man and the home. One of the things I love the most about Christmas morning is all the fun decor that sets the scene. Like these DISHES and this fun DISH TOWELwhich is under $10. I suspect that most kiddos are up super early on Christmas morning but if they aren’t or even if they are this cable knit THROW ,which comes in 6 other colors, is perfect for snuggling by the fire . If wearing Christmas pajamas doesn’t spark the magic on Christmas morning I am not sure what will so I found perfect ones for YOU, for the KIDDOS and for HIM. Keep your toes warm in these cozy $89 SLIPPERSthat will also be perfect for the rest of your chilly winter nights.
After presents, in our family, we end of lounging around while the kiddos play with their new toys. After the chaos of Christmas morning fades and everyone chills out I wanted to make sure the adults were still entertained. This KINDLE and this CAMERA are great for the parents to “play” with on Christmas morning. In all honesty I love Christmas almost more than any other day of the year… I mean who doesn’t?!? Ha. But adding little touches of fun holiday decor, clothes and games is a great way to keep the magic of Christmas alive.
What are your favorite X-mas morning must haves?? Do you have any fun or long standing fun traditions that your family does? Share them with me- I would love to hear them.
Its Thanksgiving week.. and I can already taste the turkey. I’m totally obsessed with over-sized gray sweater so I wanted to share it ASAP. I am working on sharing content and outfits as soon as I get the photos back… I have a habit of harboring photos and then waiting forever to share and then all the products are sold out or no longer available. But times are changing… starting today.
It is technically still fall (despite the snow in Denver this week) so I wanted to chat a bit about my favorite fall accessories. I’ve teamed up with Embrazio to showcase some great fall goodies. **I received products in exchange for this post however all opinions are my own**
As you know I gravitate towards neutral colors for my wardrobe; gray’s, white, black, more gray and a sprinkle of pattern. So I tend to use accessories to break up the monotony of my looks. In recent months I have been really trying to incorporate one to two new accessories into my closet and Embrazio has some great picks to keep my outfit classy, clean and stylish.
MYTH 1: OUT OF STYLE
This year I have embraced belts. There seems to be a perception floating around that belts are a bit out of style, potentially a bit country western or that belts never fit right. I am here to debunk all of three of those myths. For starters there is nothing “out of style” about a belt, in fact I would genuinely argue that belts are a classic and timeless piece. Good quality leather belts, like the ones Embrazio does, will literally last a lifetime. The quality leather and the intention behind the craftsmanship are apparent in all their products but especially their belts. Wearing a belt upgrades your look to sleek and polished… nothing unstylish about that.
MYTH 2: A BIT COUNTRY
Now, the country Western thing…. I mean sure if I was wearing and plaid shirt and boots this belt would be PERFECT to complete my Western look. But on an average day I am not. But if your daily style is a bit more “western” (which I am all for) then snag yourself some great belts and buckles from Embrazio as they specialize in that. However, for those who consider their style more trendy and contemporary and a belt is a great fall accessory to add to your already stylish look. Belts compliment denim and tees (see photos above), skirts and sweaters and even dresses. So second myth debunked.
MYTH 3: NEVER FITS
And then the idea that belts never fit right, don’t lay correctly or are uncomfortable. This is where Embrazio dominates and eliminates that huge problem. Each belt is made to wrap around your waist and fit properly; no more of those weird bunches and gaps. They take your pants size and create an s-curved belt that bends in the right places, lays flat against your waist and wraps around your hips. It literally fits you perfectly as it was handmade and created that way. A comfortable and snug fit each time.
buckle up
Fall accessories are bountiful this season. There is certainly no shortage of options nor is there a shortage of places to get them. As I get older and wiser (yep, I said it) I am finding that quality is important. Finding good fall accessories that will last through the season and beyond is something I have focused on. Embrazio made that easier with their hand crafted leather products. Explore their stuff… you may just be surprised at what other fall accessories they have!
